The Emergency Power Kit was designed to help keep you and your family connected to the outside world through a back-up power source. Natural disasters, black-outs and brown-outs can cut you off from emergency services and family members at a time when you need assistance the most. The 12 volt, 12 amp hour rechargeable battery and the power inverter will allow you to keep critical electronics, like a cell phone or medical oxygen concentrator, going when you need them. In addition to the back-up battery and inverter, the weather ready radio and crank flashlight provides not only a light source, but also an AM/FM radio so you and your family can be aware of emergency announcements and other news.

The Emergency kit includes the following items: • Maintenance-free Rechargeable Sealed Lead-Acid Battery – 12V, 12AH. Recharge with the optional solar panel. • 400 Watt Continuous/800 Watt Peak Power Inverter – compact design with double AC receptacles for connecting multiple loads. • Energizer Weather Ready Radio Crank Light – AM/FM radio with a headphone jack, a powerful 120 decibel siren and four bright Nichia LEDs. • Water proof document bag. • All in a portable carrying case!

Having additional electricity outside of the power grid allows you to keep your cell phone, laptop computer, and other lines of communication open during power failures. With these devices powered, you have a much better chance of reaching family members to verify that everyone is safe and emergency services if rescue is needed. Also, in an emergency, AM/FM radio broadcasts the Emergency Alert System which notifies the public of the state of the disaster and provides important instructions concerning evacuation and support services. Your Energizer Weather Ready Radio Crank Light allows you to remain connected to Emergency Alert System and informed about what steps to take to remain safe. The crank flashlight and siren features can also be used to make rescue parties aware of your location, improving your chances of being found.

The battery can be recharged using any of PNS Energy Products’ solar shutter systems, a traditional solar panel, or any number of conventional charging methods. This is not a one use kit and can be used and recharged so that you are prepared for the next inevitable power failure.
